Dwelling Fire on Longmoor Circle in Long Green: Fire Box 38-07
June 13, 2012 - At approximately 1:45pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire on Longmoor Circle off of Dance Mill Road in Long Green. Engine 302 immediately responded and while en route, Station 47 (Jacksonville) crews arrived to find smoke showing from a two-story dwelling, established command, and immediately requested a tanker strike team as no hydrants were located in the immediate vicinity. Initial crews made an aggressive attack on the fire, which was located primarily in the attic of the dwelling. Engine 302's crew arrived shortly thereafter and deployed a secondary hand line into the dwelling and assisted with extinguishment. Squad 303 also responded on the working fire assignment and stood-by on scene. Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours.
